Giving through the Alliance Fund

When you give through the Alliance Fund, you enable people in the LGBT community and their allies to provide programs and services throughout Southern Arizona.

You help the Southern Arizona Gender Alliance improve the lives and spirits of transgender people.

You help OpenInn furnish emergency shelter for homeless LGBT youth.

You help Ethica, an organization for LGBT adoption advocacy, prepare a manual for LGBT adoptions and sponsor an international conference in Southern Arizona around LGBT adoptions.

You help the Tucson Jewish Community Center present its Fabulous Faygeleh Film Festival.

Giving through the Alliance Fund, you join these and other organizations in strengthening the resources that help LGBT people and their straight allies thrive in our community.

It's easy to donate through the Alliance Fund.  There are several ways to give, and you can use whichever method suits your needs.

CASH DONATIONS
Donate Button
Donate Online – You can donate online through the web page of our parent organization, the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona.  If you'd like to donate online, click on this button.

If you donate online, 90% your money goes to support the Alliance Fund's annual grant-making, while the remaining 10% is invested and provides long-time grant-making income.  Our community benefits both ways.  If you would like to direct your money otherwise, there is a "Comments" blank on the second page of the form, through which you can specify directly which of our accounts, such as the Queer Youth Initiative, the Matkin-Sincox fund, or the Funk-Noffsinger fund, that you would like to help underwrite.

Donate by Phone – To make a donation by phone using your credit card please call The Community Foundation of Southern Arizona at 520-770-0800, and indicate that you would like to make a contribution via credit card to the LGBT&S Alliance Fund.

Donate by Mail - You can also send your donation by mail, in the form of a check, money order or credit card. Please submit a giving form and send with your contribution to the address provided on the form.

Monthly or Quarterly Pledge - Consider donating on a regular basis by making a monthly or quarterly pledge via personal check, direct deposit or credit card.  Please indicate your pledge on the giving form.

Company Matching Gifts – Depending on your employer, your company may match your direct gift to nonprofit organizations. Check with your company and, if one is available, enclose their matching gift form with your donation.

You can contribute to the Alliance Fund through your estate plan using a variety of methods, from life insurance to wills and trusts.  By naming the Alliance Fund as beneficiary of your will, retirement plan, life insurance, trusts or other estate-planning vehicle, you ensure our vital work will grow and continue to support future generations.

You can also designate how your donation will be used, depending on your special area of interest.  The Alliance Fund supports a variety of LGBT and allied organizations working to community needs.  These include programs for seniors, youth, and the arts.  By working together we can ensure that your legacy is directed towards issues and organizations in your area of interest.

Because the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a public charity, your contribution to the Alliance fund can provide you with the maximum tax benefits allowed by law.

LGBT persons sometimes have particular circumstances and opportunities when it comes to estate planning.  We look forward to working with you in creating your legacy in the community. For further information please contact Community Foundation for Southern Arizona's Center for Planned Giving.
